The Venue
The venue for the retreats and meditation events is a converted 19th-century forge, situated at 70 km from Toulouse and Carcassonne, in Ariège, South West France. It is situated just on the outskirts of Foix, a charming medieval town, surrounded by green fields and with a stream running nearby.
The meditations happen in the Zen Room which is about 50 m2 and perfect for up to 15 people.
The restaurant and the terrasse are there to relax, have tea and a meal. We serve vegetarian meals, organic and locally sources where possible.
There are three big en-suite bedrooms able to accommodate 3-4 people per room. They are all en suite.
Travelling to the OSHO meditation Centre in Foix, France
- By train – there is a station in Foix which is very well served on the line from Toulouse to Andorra. The journey between Toulouse and Foix takes around 1h15 and there are trains every hour during the week and every two hours on Sundays. Once on the train, please send a text message and we will pick you up free of charge. The centre is only 6 km from Foix station.
- By plane – Toulouse’s international airport, Blagnac, is 70 km from Foix, Carcassone 75 km and Barcelona 250 km. You can take a train from Toulouse Matabiau to Foix or a taxi or rent a car. Please enquire with us for more details.
- By car – When you arrive in Foix, head towards the village of St Pierre-de-Rivière (if you’re there, you’ve gone too far and will have to retrace your steps. We’re only 3.5km from Foix town centre). Slow down when you see the sign for the hamlet “La Rochelle”. After 100 metres the sign for our establishment ‘La Ciboulette’ will appear. Put on the indicator and turn left down the private road. At the end of the road, enter through the white gate and park in the car park next to the river.
